A wonderful place full of history! The reenactments are a lot of fun for the whole family and the vendors always sell great food and gifts!
Excellent state park. No entry fee. Multiple small play areas. A lot of picnic tables. An excellent place to walk by the river, also excellent to just stroll around in a quiet beautiful environment. Restrooms are clean.sadly it is difficult to catch the museum open, which is a waste, it's an excellent museum to be so small.

Illinois' first state park: Always clean and well kept grounds, rest rooms, and public buildings. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great historical interpretive museum, many informative plaques. Large well kept boat launch to access the Ohio River with large trailer parking area. Nice camp grounds with facilities. There is also a disk golf course.
Beautiful park! Wonderful walking paths. Love the refubishing of old fort. Loving the visitors center. The historic displays are wonderfully presented and cared for. Very interacive to. Views from the park are awe inspiring. Will be back may times with many friends.
